Jesus Christ: The Name Above All Names

In Greater Heights, we have prayed for different kinds of diseases. From coughs and colds to cancers and ischemic strokes, He remains as our Jehovah Rapha (The Lord Who Heals). The Name of Jesus does not change based on the name of the disease. God’s Healing Touch does not change based on the severity of the sickness.

One of these is the life testimony of Brother Eddie Palacios.

In 2022, Greater Heights Family met Brother Eddie when he, together with his wife and daughter, flew to Manila to undergo the treatment as well as the surgical operation for his serious heart condition which needed an immediate "Bypass operation"—a typical open-heart surgery where the surgeon cuts the chest open to reach the heart and then performs the surgery. It was a serious operation that required the expertise of doctors and a large amount of money to be paid to have it done. The whole GH Family united in prayer trusting God on what He is about to do. The prayer was that “God-willing, Brother Eddie would not have to undergo this risky operation.”

On February 23, 2022, Greater Heights Family received the wonderful news from Brother Eddie's daughter, Sarah. After the doctors at Philippine General Hospital (PGH) reviewed his "angiogram”, they decided that Brother Eddie would no longer need to undergo the "bypass operation.” Instead, they would perform an "Angioplasty"—a medical procedure where a balloon-tipped catheter is threaded to the site of the arterial blockage through a small incision in the groin or arm. In most cases, the procedure does not require general anesthesia, and the patient can return to their normal life within a few days (Medanta Medical Team, 2019).

On March 30, 2022, Brother Eddie underwent Angioplasty, and now, he is living with extraordinary strength and the best of health because of the successful procedure!

Everyone rejoiced in the Lord and had the same response, "Great is the Lord!" We were all in overflowing gratitude for God had truly prepared everything for Brother Eddie: The high-caliber doctors who studied his condition; the comfortable hospital facility; the exceptional surgeons who performed the procedure; the financial resource, which was provided by the Lord at the right time, was not used because they had paid nothing for the procedure!

May we all be reminded and encouraged with the Palacios Family’s declaration and prayer which they hold fast the whole time they are facing this battle, "Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the One who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

In addition to this amazing testimony, we also met Mommy Cecil Turingan.

She faced one of the hardest battles of her life when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. While undergoing treatment, she took medicines, tried herbal remedies, and sought the guidance of a nutritionist for her health. But more than her physical needs, she longed to draw closer to God and prayed for a church that would strengthen her faith.

This is when God showed His Awesome Power. At Greater Heights, all her prayers were answered: She found the Church she had been praying for; she met the right Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian (RND); and she discovered better food supplements!

Her condition was lifted up in prayer and a couple of Sundays after, we received the greatest miracle—Mommy Cecil was declared CANCER-FREE!

Mommy Cecil’s life testimony is a reminder that every trial comes with God’s Promise of Victory.

Truly, nothing is impossible with our God! There is life and victory in the Powerful Blood of Jesus! He is our Healer and Miracle-Worker. He answers every prayer. Extraordinary miracles did not end 2,000 years ago, but it is still happening today–because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8)!

Because of The Great Power of the Blood of Jesus that was shed at the Cross of Calvary, because of His Stripes, the scourging that He received and because of His Great Love for us—we can always declare that “BY HIS STRIPES, WE ARE HEALED!” and “DEATH HAS NO MORE STING!”

"But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed."

Isaiah 53:5
